tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez, born on February 27, 1976 is an ex-American football tight-end who was a part of the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is believed to be one of the top tight ends of all time. He holds the NFL's record in receiving yards as well as receptions as a tight-end. He also ranks third overall in receptions. Gonzalez was a part of the first 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who were the first team to select him in the round of the 1997 NFL Draft. Additionally, he was a part of the Atlanta Falcons for five of the final seasons. Since retiring in 2013, Gonzalez has been an NFL analyst for NFL on Prime Video and was previously at CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez finished his career with 14 Pro Bowl selections, the highest number for a tight end and second most in league history, in addition to receiving six All-Pros from the first team. Gonzalez is known for his endurance and uncommon fumbling. He was a regular in 272 games during the regular season and lost only two fumbles over 1,327 plays. In 2019 Gonzalez was admitted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
